This plan view details a steel column base plate assembly consisting of a one-and-a-half-inch thick base plate. The column is secured by four one-inch diameter ASTM F1554 Grade 105 hex head anchor bolts, which require a minimum of twelve inches of embedment into the concrete foundation. Similar conditions utilize one-and-one-eighth-inch diameter bolts. All base plates are fabricated from Grade 50 steel.
