A hollow structural section beam frames into a wide-flange column using structural angles welded to the top and bottom flanges. The connection utilizes L4x4x3/8 angles welded to the beam and column with quarter-inch typical fillet welds. A half-inch minimum clearance is maintained between the beam end and the column face. Section A-A provides an orthogonal view of the framing configuration and weld placements.
