A wide-flange beam supports a framing beam or WT section with welded connections. A quarter-inch fillet weld secures the framing members, supplemented by three-sixteenths inch fillet welds on the WT section. One-quarter-inch stiffener plates are installed on each side of the WT web, spaced at four feet on center and starting six inches from each end of the WT section. Member sizes are sized per plan.
