Reinforcing column ties and beam stirrups feature standard and ductile hook configurations with 135-degree and 90-degree bends. Dimension "a" for ties number 5 and smaller equals six bar diameters with a three-inch minimum, and equals six bar diameters for number 6 through number 8 ties. Dimension "b" for ties number 5 and smaller equals six bar diameters with a three-inch minimum, and equals twelve bar diameters for number 6 through number 8 ties. Alternate positions for successive tie splices and bend locations are provided for seismic detailing.
