A steel column connects to a concrete wall panel via a continuous 3/8-inch by 10-inch embed plate secured with one 3/4-inch diameter by 5-inch heavy-duty anchor at 16 inches on center and one 1/2-inch diameter by 24-inch deformed bar anchor or ASTM A706 bar at 16 inches on center. A 3-inch by 3-inch by 3/8-inch steel angle measuring 1-foot 8-inches long welds to the column and ties into the embed plate. A hollow structural section steel beam frames into the column where required, secured with a quarter-inch fillet weld typically spaced at 4 to 12 inches.
