An angle is placed on each side of the opening and attached to the metal deck, accommodating a maximum hole diameter of thirteen inches. Two maximum adjacent webs are cut at two low flutes of the typical deck web. For holes greater than six inches up to thirteen inches maximum, reinforcing angles are located with impacts to two adjacent low flutes and extend a minimum of three webs at each end.
