Two concrete slab-on-grade sections meet at a half-inch expansion joint containing a premolded joint filler. Each slab features a thickened edge with a continuous number four reinforcing bar running parallel to the joint. A second detail shows the slab terminating against a building wall, footing, or curb with a half-inch separation.
