A buckling-restrained brace connects to a gusset plate anchored atop a concrete foundation and concrete slab on grade. A steel column sized per plan bears on a base plate with anchor bolts detailed in separate elevations, featuring typical stiffener plates. Five-sixteenth inch fillet welds connect the gusset plate to the base assembly, with one-half inch plate configurations welded near side and far side. A concrete block-out surrounds the foundation intersection at the slab level, establishing the work point for the brace alignment.
