This structural detail shows the reinforcing layout for a slab on grade at an embedded column and exterior concrete stemwall. Hooked reinforcing bars wrap around the column within the slab. An exterior concrete stemwall occurs at the perimeter where indicated. A one-half-inch isolation joint with asphalt board separates the slab edge from the stemwall per architectural drawings.
