A truss girder connects to a column via a 7/8-inch by 2-foot knife plate. The assembly incorporates a 3/4-inch by 1-foot 2-inch wide plate secured with two 3/4-inch diameter erection bolts. Three 3/8-inch stiffener plates are spaced at a 4-inch gauge and centered on the column web. A 3/4-inch by 6-inch stabilizer plate at the truss girder remains unwelded to the girder. Fillet welds include 1/4-inch, 5/16-inch, and 7/16-inch sizes, with specific weld lengths and typical spacing noted.
