Steel joists bear on a structural steel girder supporting a metal roof deck above. Two one-half inch diameter A325 erection bolts secure the top chord of each joist to the support. A girder bottom chord brace is provided by the joist supplier, typical at the joist nearest the mid-span of the girder and as otherwise determined by the supplier.
