Back-to-back metal studs frame into a forty-three mil slotted deflection track oriented perpendicular to the concrete deck above. A half-inch diameter by four-and-a-half-inch embedment Strong-Bolt 2 wedge anchor centers in the track web and anchors into the concrete slab. A three-quarter-inch gap is maintained between the top of the track and the underside of the concrete slab to accommodate vertical deflection. Number ten screws fasten each leg of the track through the center of the vertical slots to the studs below. A note directs that the deflection track be reinforced at back-to-back jambs and studs per sheet 2/SF 5.42.
