Steel beams frame into a hollow structural section hanger using shear plates bolted with three fasteners per connection. A one-inch clearance is maintained at the base of the hanger. The shear plates and fasteners are sized per the typical non-frame beam connection schedule and details. Steel beams extend where required with extended shear plates as shown on plan.
