A saw-cut joint and an expansion and isolation joint are integrated within a concrete slab over metal deck. The saw-cut joint features a one-eighth-inch saw cut extending to a depth of T over four, maintaining three-quarters of an inch clearance to the reinforcement minimum, with every other reinforcing bar crossing the joint cut. The expansion and isolation joint consists of a half-inch wide joint filled with elastomeric joint sealant over a preforming joint material, extending three-quarters of an inch deep.
