A continuous flanged neoprene control joint is centered vertically within a masonry wall, flanked by caulking sealant on each side. Typical vertical reinforcing bars are placed on each side of the joint, and horizontal bars are stopped short of the joint except at chord bars. Backup rods and caulking are detailed at the face of standard control joints and perpendicular wall abutment joints.
