Concrete over metal deck and reinforcement are supported by a structural steel beam per plan, featuring a metal closure strip at the discontinuity. The metal deck requires a minimum two-inch bearing on the supporting flange on each side of the change in orientation. Puddle welds secure the metal deck to the supporting steel member per plan. Top of steel elevation is maintained per plan.
