About this detail

A cable net wall attachment frames into a steel beam at Level 3, featuring three-eighths-inch stiffener plates aligned with the cable net anchorage and welded to the steel beam. Where the cable anchorage extends beyond the beam flange, a three-fourths-inch plate is provided on each side and extended two inches beyond the stiffener plate with complete joint penetration welds. A hollow structural section post connects to a steel beam with three-eighths-inch stiffener plates and quarter-inch fillet welds on three sides, topped with a three-eighths-inch cap plate. The contractor must coordinate the exact locations of the cable net anchorage to align with the centerline of the beam.
