A five-eighths-inch thick gusset plate connects to a structural steel beam sized per elevation, with double six-inch angles attached to the gusset plate. Quarter-inch fillet welds secure the gusset plate assembly. Bolt holes are spaced at two-and-a-half inches on center with typical two-inch spacings and a one-inch clearance. Working points and ninety-degree angles establish the structural geometry of the brace.
