Transverse reinforcement is arranged for a rectangular concrete column measuring up to 16 inches by 24 inches in depth and width. The assembly incorporates closed ties along the perimeter and internal seismic crossties engaging longitudinal reinforcing bars. Each crosstie features a 135-degree bend with a minimum 3-inch extension and 6db hook length. The configuration provides transverse confinement and shear reinforcement for seismic load resistance.
