A horizontal bracing member connects to a wall face plate using a complete joint penetration weld with a three-inch minimum dimension. Top and bottom plates connect to the assembly with typical complete joint penetration welds. Top and bottom continuity plates reinforce the connection, and weld sizes are specified as seven-eighths inch for one-half inch thick wall plates or one and one-quarter inch for three-quarter inch thick wall plates. Additional horizontal bracing configuration details are referenced.
