A gusset plate assembly connects to a horizontal base plate with a ninety-degree work point located at the top of the base plate. One-half-inch thick stiffener plates are welded to both sides of the gusset. Five-sixteenths inch fillet welds secure the connection, with additional weld sizes and lengths designated by variables such as W sub b and L sub b. Bolt hole patterns are arranged symmetrically on the gusset plates for structural framing attachment.
