A wide flange beam supports a concrete fill over metal deck floor system with a bent plate deck edge around the stair opening. A full depth stiffener plate with a minimum thickness of 3/8 inch is provided at hanger rod locations per detail 13/S6.1. A hanger rod and its connection are supplied by the stair manufacturer. A diagonal brace is installed per detail 22/S6.1 at locations where the hanger rod occurs.
