Steel frame beams frame into the column flange symmetrically about the column centerline. Continuity plates are provided on the far side and near side of the column web, sized using the larger of flange thicknesses TF1 or TF2 per typical continuity plate details. Continuity plates are welded to the column per detail specifications. The primary beam-to-column connection details are referenced separately on sheet SP-601.
