Concrete wall intersections and corners are reinforced with vertical rebar and horizontal lap splices in single and double mat configurations. Vertical reinforcement includes four number five bars typically unless noted otherwise at intersections, and two number five bars typically unless noted otherwise for single mat applications. Horizontal reinforcement features ninety degree hooks, horizontal lap splices, and optional corner bars used in lieu of bent rebar. Alternate vertical bends are provided as typical detailing requirements.
