An HSS6x structural steel post is welded to a half-inch by eight-inch by six-inch embed plate using three-sixteenth-inch fillet welds. The embed plate is anchored into the concrete slab per plan with two half-inch diameter by six-inch headed concrete anchors spaced at six inches.
