A canopy connection utilizes hollow structural section (HSS) 20x4x1/4 members and continuous steel plates measuring 1/4 inch by 6 inches. The steel plates are rotated 45 degrees and spaced equally with a total of six units as specified by architectural coordination. Fillet welds of 1/4 inch are specified typically throughout the connection assembly.
