This connection features a buckling restrained brace attached to a gusset plate that is continuous through a beam stub. The gusset plate thickness and its attachment to the column are determined by the buckling restrained brace manufacturer. A beam stub is connected to the column, with the beam depth matched to the frame elevation. The beam stub connects to the main beam via a standard bolted connection. The stub flange thickness and its attachment to the gusset plate are also per the manufacturer's requirements. Grade 50 continuity plates are provided at the column, with sizing and attachment specified by the manufacturer.
