An hollow structural section column bears onto the top flange of a wide-flange beam with a base plate secured by anchor bolts. Full-depth stiffener plates are welded to both sides of the wide-flange beam web to transfer the column load. A perpendicular wide-flange beam frames into the web of the supporting beam where indicated. Section cut markers A-A denote the orientation of the framing.
