A reinforced concrete slab cast over a steel deck bears on a supporting steel beam positioned above a concrete masonry unit bond beam wall. An edge angle measuring 4x3x5/16 inches by one foot long is welded to the plate with three-sixteenth-inch fillet welds at each end and an E90 one-quarter-inch weld at the top edge. A minimum one-quarter-inch bent or fabricated plate forms the slab edge with a one-inch maximum dimension and three-quarters-inch clearance. Reinforcing includes number four dowel bars at twelve inches spacing with grade sixty steel, along with additional number four bars at eighteen inches minimum. A typical top of wall gap is maintained between the steel beam flange and the bond beam wall below, and the assembly excludes gauge metal edge plates per drawing notes.
