Precast hollowcore planks bear on a reinforced concrete wall with a three-inch roughened construction joint featuring a quarter-inch high amplitude uniform relief. Vertical wall reinforcing continues through the joint with standard hooks skewed into the concrete slab. The topping slab includes number five reinforcing bars at twelve inches on center each way with two inches of clearance, while the wall contains number eight bars at twelve inches on center. Hollowcore planks are field-cut as required to accommodate dowels and reinforcing clearances up to two inches maximum.
