A steel base plate bears upon a layer of non-shrink grout over a concrete footing or pier. A steel weld plate connects to a steel embed plate cast flush with the concrete surface, joined with fillet welds typically placed along the plate edges. The assembly maintains a two-and-a-half-inch offset dimension between the embedded anchoring elements. All welded connections are marked as typical for the assembly.
