A bent wide-flange rafter bears directly onto a dropped structural steel beam, supported by steel shims as required to provide full bearing. The connection is secured using four three-quarter-inch-diameter through bolts located at the beam gage. A full-depth steel stiffener is provided beneath the bearing point. The assembly carries a roof deck above and includes a slope transition.
