Structural steel framing for deck openings requires angle reinforcements placed adjacent to each cut web. The 1 3/4 inch by 1 3/4 inch by 1/4 inch angles must extend three webs past the opening on typical installations. Fillet welds secure the angle assemblies to the steel decking and supporting beams below.
