An L4x4x1/4 structural steel angle brace connects to the web and bottom flange of a wide-flange steel beam via a 1/4-inch by 5-inch by 5-inch plate welded with three-sixteenths-inch fillet welds. The steel beam supports a concrete fill over a metal floor or roof deck, featuring continuous mesh support bars and shear studs sized per plan. Field welds secure the brace and plate assembly to the supporting member. Additional connections and top brace locations are referenced to specific structural detail sheets.
