A steel beam supports a steel deck per plan with a coped top flange as needed. A quarter-inch by three-inch plate measuring zero feet four inches long connects the assembly using three-sixteenth-inch fillet welds. A depressed steel beam detail features an angle measuring two and a half by two and a half by a quarter-inch by zero feet three inches long at the joist seat depth.
