Full-depth stiffener plates measuring 3/8-inch thick unless noted otherwise are welded to the beam web. The plates are connected with typical one-quarter-inch fillet welds. Each plate includes a snipped corner at the K-region to clear the flange-to-web fillet of the structural shape.
