A structural steel connection joins a hollow structural section member to the flange of a wide flange shape using a bolted angle detail. Two rows of bolts fasten the connecting angle to the wide flange member with a three-inch spacing flanked by two-inch edge dimensions. The hollow structural section is welded or otherwise secured to the outstanding leg of the connection angle.
