A concrete foundation wall and strip footing support a concrete slab on grade and a cold-formed steel stud wall above. The foundation wall is eight inches thick, reinforced with two continuous number four top and bottom bars, plus number four bars spaced at eighteen inches on center maximum. A continuous concrete footing sits below frost depth, reinforced with number four hooked dowels at eighteen inches on center with alternate bends, providing three inches of clear cover. Half-inch diameter anchor bolts spaced at thirty-two inches on center with an eight-inch minimum embedment anchor the steel track to the top of the foundation wall. The six-inch steel track connects to each stud using two number ten Tek screws. Sheathing and foundation insulation are applied where indicated per architectural specifications, alongside an optional concrete slab on grade bearing against the foundation wall.
