The steel stair stringer is supported by a structural steel angle anchored to a thickened slab on grade. The L3x3x1/4 angle connects to the stringer with a 3/16-inch fillet weld on three sides. It is secured to the concrete slab with three-quarter-inch diameter by eight-inch expansion anchor bolts located at each stringer typically. The concrete slab on grade features a thickened section measuring two feet wide typically, with a twelve-inch thickness as shown on plan.
