A concrete slab over a metal floor deck bears on a structural steel beam and a concrete wall. The concrete deck is reinforced with number four bars spaced at eight inches on center, and five continuous number five rebar are anchored in the top of the concrete wall. A continuous three-eighths-inch by four-inch steel plate is secured to the concrete wall with three-quarter-inch diameter by six-inch heavy stud anchors at sixteen inches on center. An exterior slab on grade sits adjacent to the wall over a concrete footing.
