A continuous one-quarter-inch bent plate and custom plates with three-eighths-inch diameter by four-inch anchors transfer loads into the existing four-inch concrete topping slab and concrete beam. Fillet welds of three-sixteenths-inch size are specified at indicated steel junctions, while notes confirm that interior bracing is not required at similar conditions.
