A steel beam frames into the web of a supporting steel beam using a full depth shear plate. The connection utilizes a bolted shear plate welded to the incoming beam web with a quarter-inch fillet weld and bolted to the supporting beam web. The supporting beam is aligned with a structural grid line and coordinated with architectural requirements.
