A three-quarter-inch thick steel plate is secured to existing concrete using ten seven-eighth-inch diameter adhesive anchors with a minimum ten-inch embedment. A three-eighth-inch bent plate with four-inch horizontal slotted holes is welded to the assembly using five-sixteenth-inch fillet welds with a two-inch return at the top. The assembly accommodates horizontal movement through slotted holes and seven-eighth-inch A325N bolts.
