A buckling-restrained brace connects to a steel column and beam assembly through a slotted gusset plate at a roof level. Stiffener plates are welded to the near side and far side of the beam and column flanges as required by the corebrace manufacturer. A connection plate is located at the beam flanges near the column intersection. The brace aligns with a designated work point at the centerline intersection of the structural framing members.
