An elevator hoistway screening support assembly is constructed using vertical hollow structural section members anchored to the top of a concrete slab with a base plate and expansion bolts. Intermediate elevator separator beams span between the hollow structural sections, utilizing connecting plates welded with three-sixteenths-inch and quarter-inch fillet welds and fastened with three-quarters-inch diameter ASTM A325-N bolts through long slotted vertical holes. Expanded metal grating attaches to the structural supports according to the manufacturer specifications to provide enclosure screening along the hoistway height.
