A steel column base plate assembly is anchored into a foundation pocket. The connection consists of a Grade 50 steel base plate measuring two and one-half inches thick, secured with eight one and one-quarter inch diameter ASTM F1554 Grade 36 anchor bolts equipped with five-eighths by three by zero-dash-three inch washers and double nuts. The steel column sits centrally within the foundation pocket per plan, with detailed centerlines and equal spacing dimensions indicated across the anchor bolt layout.
