These structural details show connection assemblies for hollow structural section members of both same and different depths. The framing member connects to the supporting hollow structural section using structural angles sized per the member depth, including L4x4x3/8 by zero-foot-six-inch angles for depths between four and six inches, and L6x6x3/8 by zero-foot-six-inch or L6x4x3/8 by zero-foot-six-inch angles for depths greater than six inches. A three-eighths-inch plate is provided at top same-depth conditions with two-inch clearances. Fillet welds of one-quarter-inch size secure the angles and plates to the hollow structural sections.
