The doubler plate thickness equals the gusset plate thickness plus one-quarter inch minus the beam web thickness, unless otherwise determined by the buckling-restrained brace supplier. Gusset plates align with the centerlines of the beam and column web, with configurations detailed per the bracing frame elevation. Weld sizes and edge preparations are provided at each end per the brace supplier requirements and general notes.
