A wide-flange beam ranging from W16 to W21 frames into a supporting moment frame or drag beam via a full-height shear connection plate. Additional slip-critical bolts are added at the top and bottom, with a full row of bolts utilized at drag and moment frame beams. A stiffener plate matching the thickness of the connection plate is provided on the supporting column web. Bolts are installed per the structural schedule, and specific dimensioning is maintained for the beam depth range.
