A buckling restrained brace connects to a steel beam via a gusset plate assembly. The steel beam is sized per plan and features beam web stiffeners on each side at the connection location. A buckling restrained brace is supplied by the designated brace supplier and integrates into the gusset plate. Gusset stiffeners are included when required by the brace supplier with a typical four-and-a-half-inch dimension.
